Add vehicles: add inventory by VIN, in bulk or from a file
Add one car by VIN with a decoded preview, paste up to 500 VINs at once, or upload a CSV or Excel export. Analytics only; your website is never touched.
Most of your lot never needs this button. We read your public listings, on your website and on the listing sites, and match them to the dealer names and websites you pick under My rooftops, so the cars you advertise show up on their own. Add Vehicle is for the exceptions: a trade-in that is not listed yet, a car you are about to buy at auction, or a batch of units your feed does not carry. You add inventory by VIN, and the car is ranked against the market like every other row.
The dialog opens on three cards. Single Vehicle takes one VIN: type the 17 characters, press Look Up VIN, and we decode year, make, model and trim and show a photo so you can confirm it is the right car before it lands on the list. Then enter your Price, Odometer and optional Notes and press Add. Bulk VINs takes a pasted list, one per line, up to 500 per batch, and flags the invalid and duplicate lines before anything is saved; a line can also carry price, odometer and notes separated by commas. Upload File takes a CSV, XLS or XLSX export from your DMS, shows the column headers it found, and lets you point at the VIN column and, if you have them, the price, mileage and notes columns.
A typical routine: for example, on appraisal day, paste the VINs from the auction run list into Bulk VINs with the price you are prepared to pay, then read each car's rank on the inventory table. Cars you add live only in this analytics list, never on your website or any listing site, and a red trash icon on the row removes them again. On the Watchlist tab the same button adds cars you are only watching; see Watchlist, Sold and Deleted.

Add Vehicle puts a car on your lot by VIN. Single Vehicle looks up one VIN, shows you the decoded car, and adds it. Bulk VINs takes up to five hundred pasted VINs at once. Upload File imports them from a spreadsheet. On the Watchlist tab, the same button adds cars to your Watchlist instead.

Frequently asked questions
How do I add inventory by VIN?
Press Add Vehicle on the Inventory tab, choose Single Vehicle, type the 17-character VIN and press Look Up VIN. We decode year, make, model and trim and show a photo so you can confirm the car. Enter your Price, Odometer and optional Notes, press Add, and the car is ranked against the market like every other row.
Can I do a bulk VIN upload, and how many at once?
Yes. Bulk VINs takes a pasted list, one VIN per line, up to 500 per batch. Before anything is saved the dialog counts the valid lines and flags invalid and duplicate VINs so you can fix them. Each line may also carry a price, odometer and notes separated by commas, for example VIN,25000,45000,Trade-in.
How does the CSV inventory import work for dealers?
Upload File accepts a CSV, XLS or XLSX file of up to 10 MB, for example an export from your DMS. We read the header row, suggest the VIN column, and let you map optional Price, Mileage / Odometer and Notes / Stock # columns or skip them. The result shows how many vehicles were added and which VINs were duplicates or invalid.
Can I add a car I am about to buy, before it is on my lot?
Yes. Any 17-character VIN works, whether or not the car is listed anywhere. Enter the price you expect to pay as your Price and the odometer, and you get the same rank and price advice as for a car already on your lot. On the Watchlist tab the same button adds the car to your Watchlist instead, so it is kept apart from your inventory.
Do added cars appear on my website or in my feed?
No. Inventory Analytics is an analytics tool, not a DMS and not a feed. Cars you add by hand live only in this list; nothing is pushed to your website or any listing site. Your regular lot fills itself from your public listings, matched to the dealer names and websites you pick under My rooftops, and a red trash icon removes a hand-added car whenever you like.
See it on your own inventory
A demo runs on your live listings, not a sample lot: your cars, the competitors around your store, and the target price for each one.
