Find cars: search and filter your inventory
The Find cars drawer looks a vehicle up by VIN, year, make, model or trim, keeps only one price group, hides cars without photos and never reprices anything.
"Which of my cars need a look this morning?" That is the question the Find cars tab answers. It is the place to search and filter dealer inventory on your own screen: type a VIN or pick a year, make, model or trim, keep only one price group, hide the cars that still have no photos. Everything on the tab narrows the list on this computer only. Nobody else at the store sees it and nothing is repriced. The tab is labelled Just my screen for that reason; the other tab, How we price, is marked Whole store and carries the team's pricing rule.
The tab reads top to bottom. Look up a car has a Search VIN, make, model or trim box that filters as you type, a partial VIN is enough, plus Year, Make, Model and Trim pickers that take several values at once. Choosing a Make clears Model and Trim so they never disagree. Show me keeps one price group: Needs a price cut, Room to raise, Priced right — leave alone or No data yet, with a live count on each row and All vehicles to put everything back. Hide from the list has one switch, Cars with no photos, and the line under it reads Hidden or Shown. Clear my filters at the bottom resets the tab; its badge counts how many filters are on.
A typical Monday: open the drawer, tap Needs a price cut, then pick Make for the franchise you are walking that day. What is left is the short list to check against the market, for example six trucks instead of the whole lot. Your choices stay on this computer, so the same short list is waiting tomorrow until you hit Clear my filters. Each row you keep still shows its full Inventory table, and the price groups themselves come from the rule set on How we price.

How do I search and filter dealer inventory by year, make, model or trim?
Open the drawer and stay on the Find cars tab. Type any part of a VIN, make, model or trim into the search box and the list updates as you type. Below it, the Year, Make, Model and Trim pickers each accept several values at once; choosing a Make clears Model and Trim so the three always match.
What are the price groups Needs a price cut, Room to raise and Priced right?
They are the Show me chips. Needs a price cut lists cars you are asking more for than the market, Room to raise lists cars you are asking less for, and Priced right — leave alone sits at or near market. No data yet means we found too few cars like it nearby to suggest a price. The number on each chip is how many of your cars are in that group right now, and All vehicles puts everything back.
Can I hide cars without photos from the list?
Yes. Under Hide from the list, flip the Cars with no photos switch; the line under it reads Hidden or Shown so you always know the state. Hiding a car only removes it from your view. Its price, rank and pricing recommendation are not changed.
Do my filters change prices or affect my colleagues?
No. Everything on the Find cars tab is marked Just my screen: it narrows the list on this computer only, nobody else at the store sees it and nothing is repriced. The team rule that decides which cars land in each price group lives on the other tab, How we price, marked Whole store.
How do I reset the filters, and are they remembered?
Clear my filters at the bottom of the tab resets the search, the pickers, the Show me group and the photo switch in one click; the badge on the button counts how many filters are on and the button is greyed out when nothing is filtered. Until you clear them, your choices are remembered on this computer and are waiting the next time you open the page. Clear my filters never touches How we price.
